International comparison tests or proficiency tests are excellent instruments of external quality assurance. Only testing laboratories which regularly participate in such tests are able to check, document and continuously optimize their performance and methods accuracy and reproducibility.

Furthermore, round robins are essential for development of testing methods and within standardization work. Therefore we offer these round robins in case of need as well on behalf.

Since 2001 once a year Philipp Koskarti organizes international comparison tests in the field of fuel testing. Changing test materials (wood pellets, olive oil residues up to hemp husks) make the laboratory comparison tests attractive for the participants. Several times, results of previous comparison tests were used by national and international standardization committees to develop existing test methods.

The statistical evaluation of this comparison tests is carried out in accordance to ISO/IEC 17043 (mean value, standard deviation, outlier according to Grubbs, outlier according to Cochran, z-score) as well as repeatability and reproducibility.

Since 2013, our laboratory comparison test is also listed in the international database for proficiency tests "eptis" http://www.eptis.bam.de.
